Love the Skin Your In Tag

First of all I have to say thank you to the lovely Angela who wrote this god knows how long ago because otherwise I wouldn’t have seen this tag and I love the concept and then I have to say thank you again for opening it up to everyone which is such a lovely thing to do. If you haven’t checked out her blog then please do! You can find her entry here.

Rules:

  • Thank the person who nominated you and include a link to their blog in your post
  • Display the “love the skin you’re in” image.
  • Be truthful when answering the questions and don’t judge what other people have answered in their posts.
  • If you want to add any questions to this tag related to body positivity feel free to.
  • Try to nominate as many people as you can, if not everyone.

One feature you love about yourself

I love my legs, when I am at my heaviest I feel like they are exactly the way I like them & it makes me feel so much better about my body when I think ‘oh god, I’ve put on weight again’ I always think ‘yeah, but my legs are fab thooo’. Always looking on the bright side of life.

One feature you wish/wished you could change that you are trying to accept or have accepted?

My stomach, I have even written a post which you can find here about it because it really is a learning curve and I still have my down days but I really try all of the time to accept that it looks the way it does.

Have you ever thought of getting surgery to change you imperfections?

In school I always wanted a nose job, now I really really don’t. I hate needles & the thought of surgery much more than the sight of my nose, it will do. I have accepted that its part of my face.

One of your main role models for body positivity?

Ashley Graham!! I love that she struts around and looks fucking amazing doing it!

Has a family member or friend ever put you down about your physical appearance? If so what for?

I don’t remember, I would assume so but I try my hardest not to dwell on that though, other people’s opinions on my appearance don’t matter.

Something you love about your fashion sense or style?

I love that I can wear yellow. I absolutely adore the colour yellow and I feel so lucky that it doesn’t wash me out or anything, even though I would probably wear it anyway.

Why is your body a great place to be?

My body is a wonderful place to be because it works, not as well as others admittedly but I can walk, talk, communicate and laugh. I am one lucky lady.

I NOMINATE EVERYONE! I would love to hear what your answers are so please let me know you have done them!

Come see what I get up to when I’m not writing all of my ramblings for you all (spoiler alert: it involves lots of food, wine and television but hey, I like to think I’m a little bit interesting)

  1. I’ve never worn yellow!! I’ve always wanted a mustard yellow type of cardi, maybe I’ll have to give it a go! I’ve also had my issues with my stomach, which have changed since getting a stoma but are still there, and my thighs, and my nose as well, but they all make you the unique person you are; acceptance is hard, but so very worth it. Love every part. x

    1. You should! Yellow is such a happy colour! I love it! A mustard coloured cardigan sounds amazing, I’m after a mustard coloured coat this year for winter, I have seen a few and they are beaut! Your nose? I like your nose! I know how it feels though when you are insecure about something, I think everyone is beautiful! So many things make a beautiful person and its important to remember that! x
