I am trying so hard to be a positive bean if you hadn’t noticed already, positivity is taking over my life. I really am convinced that the more positive you are the less you focus on the bad points which alleviates your mood (I am writing this whilst having a bad time with my anxiety so it doesn’t heal everything BUT it does help) to an extent, or it does for me at least. I find that if I am positive about something I will enjoy it more which is baffling to me but hey, lets go for it.
Personally I would say I am quite a negative nancy by nature, whether it’s the way I was bought up or just the fact that most people around me are quite negative and it rubbed off, I don’t really know. What I do know is that now I am making a conscious decision to change my outlook on everything I have noticed that there are A LOT of negative Nancy’s in the world and boy is it exhausting, to think that I was that bad before makes me cringe because why would you not just be extremely grateful for the things you do have rather than the things you don’t?
Don’t get me wrong, I know this isn’t possible all of the time but to enhance your quality of life, try it. Every time you find yourself feeling down, pick 5 things that you are grateful for, it won’t necessary make you feel better about your current situation but to think of the things you love and are grateful for should enhance your mood and remind you that, at the end of the day we all have hard times but we are all extremely lucky.
I apologise for the fact that this was a bit of a ramble but I have no other way to get the point across that looking at your life in a positive light can make anything a little easier. Your bad day/week/month will end and wonderful things will happen to you. It’s life.
